Crazy Us

We've lost track of what is us

And merely metaphysical dust

Gathering on our souls

We piss our nights away in bars

Forgetting to improve who we are

Sinking deeper into this hole

I cannot hold back these words any longer

It's a proven fact that our minds can get stronger

When we explore them

And accept what's inside

We don't know the things that we should know

And it seems like we're trying to let go

Of the crazy in all of us that helps us grow

It doesn't work if we try to hide behind doctors' notes

I don't want my mind to wear a uniform of sane

I really quite like to use the weird parts of my brain

My nuttiness, my aliveness will sometimes cause me pain

But a world where we all think the same would be pretty fucking lame
